Llandudno Area U3A

The location served by our U3A is roughly the three towns of Colwyn Bay, Conwy and Llandudno and the area between and around them. Some members join more than one U3A, to suit their needs and interests. Details of our neighbouring U3As can be found by clicking the "Links" button in the left hand menu.

The motto of the U3As is "Learn, Laugh and Live!"

We currently have over 800 members and about 50 Interest Groups which have been set up and are run by the members themselves. We also have whole U3A social events, the three main kinds being run through our Open Meetings, our Away Days/Away Stays programme and our Eating Out programme. Again, these are all organised by members themselves.

Membership Fee

The membership year for Llandudno Area U3A runs from April 1st to March 31st. The full annual membership fee is £12.00 which includes a £3.50 capitation fee to our national organisation, The Third Age Trust. If you are a fully paid member of another U3A and you have paid your capitation fee to that U3A, then the membership fee for Llandudno Area U3A is £8.50.

From October, the membership fee is reduced to £8.50 and £5.00 respectively.
